As a first principle, our impact is likely to be maximised if our Core Values have a close connection with our Purpose and our Priorities. Plus, any Concerns and Causes that we wish to support or address.
Quite simply, our impact is increased because this close connection means that we can draw more deeply on our expertise, structure, supply chain and relationships to take our most effective action.
Over questions 1 - 3 we will focusing in turn on understanding your Purpose (Q1) your Priorities (Q2), your Causes and Concerns (Q3).
Purpose = an expression of what you do and why and / or how you do it. Basically why others should choose you to provide them with what they need. This should be expressed in a Statement of Purpose which describes the activities that you perform, including your aims in providing these. This could also include what sets you apart from others (makes you distinctive), so that people or organisations will choose to get what they need from you rather than elsewhere. (Many organisations call this a Mission Statement).
?
Once identified, ValueBox will carry your Purpose onto the next stage of the assessment, to support the identification and / or assurance of your Values.
