What is the next step in ValueBox?
The next step in the process is to identify your 'Starting Values'. These are basically the Values that you instinctively think will be the most important to you, as an organisation, based on your Purpose, Priorities, Causes and Concerns.
What do we mean by Starting Values?
At this stage in the Value Assurance Process, we describe your values as 'Starting Values'. These 'Starting Values' will be tested by ValueBox prior to adoption as your Baseline Values.
Why are setting Starting Values important?
Starting Values are important as they provide an introduction to the process. They also provide a basis for comparison between what you initially considered would be your most important 'Core Values' and then compare these with the evidence collected during the process to conclude your Baseline Values at the end of the process.

So what are the questions that we have to think about?
Here we identify the Values that are most important to you based on how they relate to your Purpose, Priorities and any Causes and Concerns that might be of importance to your colleagues and people outside of your organisation.
What will ValueBox do with this information?
ValueBox will carry forward this information for you to review as part of the final stage of the assurance process. It will be mapped against the other answers that you have provided to identify which are likely to be the most important Values to you.
Q5. Consider the statements set out below at Q5.1 - Q5.5

Consider why a Value might be a priority for you and select the Values that are most appropriate from the Values set out in the coloured boxes (i) - (vi)
You might decide that a value is important for a number of reasons: if so select all the reasons that apply.
However, bear in mind that if you select every Value as a priority, it's the same as having no priorities...
